Schema markup has been an SEO checkbox for a decade, usually added because a tool complained. Answer engines change the calculation: structured data is one of the few unambiguous ways to tell a model what your business is and what a page is about.
Start with Organization
One Organization block, on the home page, stating your legal name, your URL, how to contact you and your profiles elsewhere. This is the anchor everything else hangs from. Leave a field out rather than invent it – a logo URL that 404s is worse than no logo field at all.
Article and BlogPosting
Every article should declare its headline, author, publication date and publisher. Author matters more than it used to: models weigh whether a named, credentialed person stands behind a claim.
FAQPage, used honestly
FAQ markup works when the questions are real ones customers ask and the answers are direct. It fails when it is a keyword exercise. Take the questions from your sales calls and support tickets.
Verify it is live
The most common schema failure is not malformed markup. It is markup that was generated, approved, and never actually deployed – so the report says the site has it and the site does not. Fetch your own pages and check what is being served.
